The Activate Uganda Team is excited to welcome you to the “Activate Uganda 365 Days of Running/walk 2025” challenge.

“Activate Uganda 365 Days of Running 2025” is designed to encourage you to keep running/walking as part of your daily life and to keep your level of fitness in good shape.

The aim of the event is to challenge yourself to run a minimum of 3km ever day without missing a day for 365 consecutive days (Rain or Shine). If you are training for a specific event, what better way to keep you focused on your progress?!

There is no maximum distance or cumulative distance set for as a target for 365 days. The focus in only on achieving the minimum daily distance which is the requirement of 3km. You can mix walking with running as you feel comfortable. On recovery/rest days, you can walk the required distance and keep you 365 days streak going!

Some Rules

Basically, we are not really setting any rule except that you run/walk a minimum 3km each day and post your activity on what’s App group daily without fail.
The objective is to keep you more motivated sports wise (Activated) and is for your own personal achievement.  All we require is your complete honesty when entering your run logs.  It is up to you to make sure you can be proud of “earning” your medal with respect!

Requirements

  • Register and sign-up for the challenge
  • Make sure you have a running device that will show your distance and Time done everyday (Garmin, TomTom, Strava, Map my Run, mobile app etc)
  • Complete the daily challenge of a minimum of 3km for 366consecutive days between 1st January 2025 and December 31 2025 (No medal for participant who misses even one day)
  • Make sure you post your activity on a what’s app group every day without fail (please advise if you are not able to post on WhatsApp)

What do you get for finishing?

A unique “Finisher” medal will be awarded at the end of the100 days of the challenge (achieved through running or walking as an exercise activity (No, strolling through the mall does not count, it must be for the purpose of training or an official running/walking event)
